What appeared to be Madison’s misfortune was to become Madison’s legacy.
Recognized as “The prettiest small town in the Midwest” by Ladies Home Journal and “Best Preserved Town in the Midwest” by the Chicago Tribune, Madison boasts the largest historic district in Indiana and the largest contiguous National Historic Landmark District in the US.
